Stepping into Heso Camp felt like entering a serene oasis in the heart of Shikoku. The traditional Japanese building exuded charm and tranquility, offering a perfect blend of modern comfort and old-world charm. The spacious room, adorned with a cozy futon, provided a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring. The kitchen area, equipped with a fridge and toaster, made it easy to whip up a quick breakfast before embarking on a hiking adventure in the picturesque surroundings. The shared lounge and garden were inviting spaces to unwind and connect with fellow travelers, sharing stories and experiences by the BBQ facilities. The warm hospitality of the innkeeper added a personal touch to the stay, making us feel right at home in this hidden gem. The proximity to the train station and easy access to Miyoshi town and the mystique of Iya Valley made Heso Camp an ideal base for our escapades. As the sun set over the lush landscape, I found myself savoring the moment, grateful for the simple joys that travel brings. Heso Camp not only offered a comfortable stay but also a gateway to the natural wonders and cultural richness of Shikoku, beckoning us to explore and embrace the beauty of Japan's countryside.
